Keith Petersen is an artist and photographer based in Oakland, California who explores the connections between science, nature and art.
Working with photography and mixed media in a studio practice, his interest in the intersection of the natural sciences and art has led to a series of explorations of the alchemical interactions between organic and synthetic pigments and other elements. He uses photographic processes to document the often unstable and ephemeral reactions between these substances.
Vanessa Mellet is a Peruvian American artist, jeweler & designer.
She makes her jewelry by hand in her colorful Oakland, CA studio, surrounded by stacks of luminous gems, trays of work in progress & sleeping cats. She is inspired by the rich colors found in nature & by organic forms like leaves and flowers. Her jewelry reflects her colorful & joyful aesthetic & way of life. Vanessa hand makes vibrant & chic heirloom pieces that will bring joy & beauty to everyday life for generations to come.
Rae holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Jewelry Design and Ceramics from Moore College of Art + Design in Philadelphia. She currently designs bespoke fine + Semi fine jewelry out of her Marin County studio and is the founder of Studio Vittorelli Showroom, a fine art gallery and showroom in San Rafael, CA.
"Jewelry is radiant. It is derived from the earth’s elements and casts energy. Our ethos is to source responsibly to preserve this vitality. By harnessing the power of these elements, vibrations emerge.
Since my earliest recollection, a passion for fashion and jewelry has embellished my heart."
PETER JAMES JEWELRY
Peter James Jewelry is designed and handcrafted in San Rafael, CA.
About the Designers: Designers Lynette and Erika are a mother/daughter team, their co-designing brings together their different histories and training, combining to create pieces that are both timeless and elegant while also pushing the envelope when it comes to dramatic flair and style. The hand forged pieces transform wire and sheet metals into wearable works of art.
Allison is a bench jeweler and designer based out of Marin County, CA.
"I have been designing since my incredible high school art class. I enjoy high-quality, minimal, sculptural, classical & wearable designs. My pieces are designed to be worn every day. I also enjoy working with clients to convert existing gold pieces to new designs."
Bay Area ceramic artist Marienne Chapman's pottery is an exploration in texture.
When creating ceramics, I revel in the details. Whether I’m placing a constellation of tiny dots on an urchin or vase, or making a mountain of ceramic sprinkles (each one lovingly cut and colored by hand), every motion and color is painstakingly thought out. This detail and precision is the art. I can easily lose myself in the process. Dotting lines and form with repetitive motions and visuals is a joy for me.
OLIVIA BURR ART
Olivia Burr, is a native of the Bay Area ceramic artist living in Marin County.
Burr has directed her sculptural work towards exploring the delicate balances within life’s inherent imbalances. Her series of sculptural vessels are meticulously crafted, with each piece being both wheel-thrown and scrupulously hand-applied. She approaches her art with an unwavering commitment to detail, cherishing the imperfections that emerge during their creation.
Rae is a ceramic artist and metalsmith based out of Marin County.
Rae Vittorelli’s wall adornments are inspired by her background in art and design and passion for textiles and nature. Her work is filled with texture and pattern alongside earthy palettes that occasionally surprise with jolts of saturated color. She enjoys mixing media to achieve this dynamic juxtaposition of materials and surfaces. When creating her work, Rae describes herself
in the “flow-state” losing herself in the meditative repetition of each gesture.
