Each journal is custom crafted by hand using the highest quality sustainable Italian vegetable-tanned leather, a traditional chemical-free tanning method, and includes a certified tag referencing the tannery’s source code.

Our leather is sourced from one of four sustainable leather Tanneries in Tuscany, Italy who are all members of member of the exclusive Pelle Vegetale Consortium certifying they tan leather using the strict traditional vegetal methods. They are well known for their traditional methods of vegetable tanning with tree barks that go back 100's of years.
